Motherwell secured a 5-4 victory on penalties after the game ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes.

Clyde took the lead in the 16th minute, but Maswanhise equalised for Motherwell five minutes later. The forward completed his brace to put his side ahead three minutes into the second half.

However, it didn’t take long for Liam Scullion to level the score for Clyde in the 53rd minute. The match ended 2-2, leading to a penalty shootout.

Motherwell converted all their spot-kicks, while Clyde missed one, resulting in a 5-4 win.

Maswanhise’s side also earned an extra bonus point for the penalty shootout victory, placing them second in Group G with two points, one behind leaders Greenock Morton.

Motherwell will face group leaders Greenock Morton in their next match on Tuesday.
